Abstract
There are considered some ideas expressed by economists who discuss the Federal Reserve's monetary policy during the last ten years. Opinions of the Federal Reserve Board members are presented on main questions of this policy. The influence of the low interest rates on various economic and financial processes is analyzed. The structure of the financial assets and debts belonging to American households is presented and the influence of Federal Reserve's monetary policy on these assets is examined. The main measures of the Federal Reserve's plan to decline the amount of Treasury and other securities in it's balance are presented.
