Analyzing the book of professor Portnoy M.A. MONEY IN NATIONAL AND WORLD ECONOMY and other publications the article discloses a unique phenomenon of money, its history, functions and role in modern economy. Special attention is drawn to digital economy influence on money and discussions about bitcoins as well.
