Abstract

The article gives main characteristics of the found of the archaeological complex of the late Neolithic Age in the Middle Trans-Urals. It is dated to the fi rst half of the 4th millennium BC and genetically connected with the Trans-Ural Boborykino culture. However, the real status of the Basyanovo archaeological complex – new archaeological culture, local variant of the Boborykino culture (Oblast, community) – is early to identify at the moment. Likely the most productive way to examine the problem of the Boborykino archaeological and historical cultural unity (and differences inside it) through the lens of the linguistic continuity well known by the ethnographical materials, fi rst of all, of the aborigines of New Guinea. In archaeological realia this defi nition could be signifi ed as an archaeological continuity.
