Abstract
Since its inception in the period of the Nazi aggression’s Resistance, during the second half of the 20th and fifteen years of the 21th century the theme of the Second World War in the Croatian prose has passed a significant evolution. It has rejected the rigid ideologization and mythologization, the black-and-white images, and moved towards the aesthetic diversity, towards the true understanding of the humanism as recognition of the primary value of the human life, and the history as a sum of many human fates.
