Abstract
The articles review emerging approaches to field studies of organizations. N.V. Bogatyr's paper introduces a work by B. Czarniawska, which offers methodological insights to scholars looking for innovative ways of analyzing organizational culture. The article starts with a brief history of field methods for research on organizations and proceeds to diagnosing their shortcomings in the light of latest developments, and to charting a range of promising approaches that may be both appealing and valuable for scholarship.
