- Abstract
- The authors discuss the contributions made by renowned Soviet anthropologist Nikolai Cheboksarov (1907-1980) to the development of physical anthropology. Drawing attention to Cheboksarov's theoretical work on issues of classifi cation, extensive research on anthropology of China, substantial input on problems related to studies of race in anthropology, and other scholarly merits, the article examines the researcher's impact on the growth of the discipline.
