- Abstract
- The article makes a contribution to the study of burial rite - a topic of perennial interest in ethnography, particularly Siberian ethnography. Drawing on field research conducted during the five trips to the Selkup of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Region, the author explores the traditional sepulchral constructions and identifies seven types thereof. She examines each type by providing a thorough semantic description and charting both geographic and ethnic distribution areas.
