Abstract
The article explores issues in the ethnographic study of religious practices among the Nagorno-Karabakh Armenians, taking the worshiping of local sacred sites as a case. The author discusses a range of notions related to these sites and describes some of the most important landmarks. Special attention is paid to the issue of use and significance of such landmarks, along with certain customs and rituals, in the folk traditional culture.
