Abstract
The article is devoted to the analysis of the current interethnic situation in Tuva. Results of the 2010 population survey and expert survey 2013 shows a relatively calm inter – ethnic climate in the region and, at the same time, shows the presence of latent tension in relations between the two main ethnic groups- Tuvans and Russians. It was also found that the existing complex of socio-economic problems in the Republic has a negative impact on the relationship of ethnic groups living in it, the General level of tolerance and the dynamics of inter-ethnic stereotypes.
