Abstract
Is there a future for liberalism? This question is just crucial for the Manhattan liberals, since with the victory of Donald Trump as they put it, America comes to something like the Dark Ages. An intellectual journal "The New Yorker" announced that November 2016 in the face of its Editor-in-chief, a brilliant journalist David Remnik. In his column (truly a cri de coeur), entitled "American tragedy", he stated about the coming of the virtual Kingdom of Antichrist: "Tragedy... for the republic, a tragedy for the constitution and the triumph of forces of chauvinism, authoritarianism, sexism and racism... The executive power in the United States was headed by the most real "embodiment of the dark forces."
