Abstract

The article is devoted to the problem of the complex existence of Postmodernism (as a phenomenon and as a term) in Poland in the 1980s and 1990s, and the role of this phenom-enon in the process of liberation of artistic consciousness after the political turning point of 1989 and the «end of the romantic paradigm», as well as the peculiarity of the refraction of aesthetics and postmodern consciousness on the basis of Polish literature.
