Abstract
The results of comparison of cognitive styles indices with temperament and character traits are analyzed. It is shown that three cognitive-style complexes can express style structure in early youth: socio-verbal, emotional-motor and intellectual. The data confirm that these cognitive-style complexes are joined with different types of modality-specific activity (psychomotor, intellectual, and communicative). It was also revealed that cognitive styles, having a number of common correlations with indices of modality-specific activity (temperament), are differentiated at the level of character traits.
