Abstract
Kazakhstan's sociology is undergoing institutional changes: the development of research and training centers, the growth of applied research, the emergence of a new generation of certified specialists-PhD doctors on the labor market. The main results for decades are presented. What is the institutional basis of social science in Kazakhstan? Is the path chosen correctly?
